We are happy to announce the January 2019 Release which again is dedicated to the Web App:
- The "data1.io Designer" becomes the "data1.io Web App"
We have renamed our web-based client to "data1.io Web App". The reason is that this client will not only be the tool for power users (to "design" their applications for data collection) as initially planned but also will be the general landing page for new users to register and getting started.
- Improvements in the UI of the Web App
We have added a display field for the tenant name and all dynamic tables have got a filter button (until now the filter mode was always on), a refresh button (until now you had to press F5) and a page size selection (until now this was fixed to 20 records per page):
Furthermore, we have also improved the progress bar. In the data entry form, the table name is now shown in the header and HTML fields are handled now as read-only (if defined). Last but not least we have cleaned up the "Undefined Keys" screen.
- Security Roles are active now in the Web App
Last month we introduced the new security roles concept and we worked very hard this month to bring it to life in the Web App. The security roles are now active for filtering the dynamic UI.
- Dynamic navigation menues (UI) in the Web App
We also worked hard to realize fully dynamically configurable navigation menues. Besides other changes we have moved now the "Getting Started" page from the Left-Pane-Menu to the Top-Right-Menu:
- Dynamic table filters and dynamic lookup fields in the Web App
A very important background function is the dynamic filter for tables and lookup fields depending on the logged-in user respectively depending on the activated application.
- Speaking URLs in the Web App
We are happy that the URLs from the different pages of the Web App are now transparent. So it`s easy to share the links with your collegues with readable URLs - of course the security system proves if someone has actually the right to access the URL.
Hope you like the new features, let us know what you think about it!
