We are happy to announce the November 2019 Release which is dedicated to the new projects showcase and the possible conjunction of the data1.io platform with Microsoft PowerApps:
- New Showcase "Linearis Projects" (Preview)
We are working on a new - on the first sight very simple - showcase to collect project KPIs on a weekly basis from a team of project managers (PMs) who are allowed to see only their own current projects in the dimension tree.
We use this showcase to demonstrate how Microsoft PowerApps can be used as an additional "forms based" client in enterprise data collection scenarios especially in combination with Microsoft Power BI Dashboards. We have recently blogged about this on our company`s blog here and here (in german language).
At this stage, the projects showcase is private. Please contact us if this showcase is urgently important for your company. - "Upload-from-Excel" function rolled out in the Web App
We have introduced the Upload-from-Excel function in the September 2019 Release only for uploads (of actuals) to the fact table, now we have rolled this function to the following additional tables:
+ Create your dimension tree / Dimension Table
+ Define your users / User Access
+ Define your users / Row-Level-Security (RLS)
+ Setup your workflow / Select Users - New Advanced Validation Rules in the Web App
Until now, when adding new records to a table we have only validated the technical format of the new content for a column. Now we introduce more advanced validation rules which ensure e.g. that no "logical duplicates" are added to a table or only pre-defined users are uploaded.
The new validation rules are also executed when using the Upload-from-Excel function:
In case of a validation error, the whole upload process is cancelled and no records at all are uploaded (indepentantly if the error occurs with the first or the last record). After solving all issues the upload will be executed: - New Event Information for Workflow E-Mails in the Web App
We have enriched the existing table with the automatically sent Workflow E-Mails with the information, if an E-Mail could be delivered successfully (or bounced) and if the receiver has opened it:
In the new navigation item Events you`ll find a list of all events concerning an E-Mail with the full history from processing, delivery, every opening and every click: - Further Improvements in the Web App
We have solved an issue with the Upload-from-Excel function which did not work when the Excel file contained formatted cells in empty columns. Furthermore two issues with the dynamic dropdown and with the show all option were solved as well.
Thanks again to all early adopters who gave us their valuable feedback!
Hope you like the new features, let us know what you think about it!
